Social Anxiety Disorder-Causes and Effects Pt1

Is it any wonder that a society such as ours, one that is exploding with every kind of technological advances imaginable, advances that permeate every area of our lives, is plagued with what has been labeled Social Anxiety Disorder!  Recent studies affirm the fact that with all of our psychological problems, social anxiety or as some label it, social phobia, is now the third largest of the psychological problems within our technologically advanced society.  Rather than having a society panic attack over hearing this news, it would better suit us to take a closer look at what Social Anxiety Disorder actually is, and its causes and effects upon the individuals so afflicted.

A simple definition of Social Anxiety Disorder is the fear involved with people interacting with other people, a fear that they don’t measure up to another’s social standard.   As you look at your own social life, you no doubt have had occasional moments or times of stress or even a mild panic attack in a particular situation.  However, Social Anxiety is different in that it doesn’t just happen once in a while; it’s something that is permanently with you and affects many of your daily routines.  It causes this person to become extremely stressed, unnaturally focused on self in that they feel they are the center of attention; all eyes are upon them, judging them, and waiting for that fatal foul-up!

Although the person with social phobia may realize that this is an exaggerated, unrealistic scenario, in his present state, he is unable to control this barrage of self-depreciating thoughts about himself.  Because the person’s reactions are to "freeze up", withdraw and fail to interact, they are often times labeled as being bashful and having low self-esteem. This is a serious mistake because it prevents them from getting the proper treatment.

I hope this gives you a little insight into social anxiety disorder..in part two I will go into it a bit further…until then remember you dont have to put up with social anxiety disorder any more….You can say goodby to all your anxiety problems…

If you ignore your anxiety disorder it will develop into a physical problem. anxiety disorder lowers your physical resistance and makes you prone to physical sickness. As individuals we must come to the understanding that we are triune-that is we are all physical, spiritual and mental: they are all interconnected. Behind anxiety disorder there are root problems that are causing it and how you deal with it becomes the issue. Read my lips:anyone suffering from anxiety disorder needs to get help NOW!

It is a fact that certain folks needlessly suffer with their anxiety disorder over a long period of time without asking for help. How very tragic. They have suffered needlessly over all this time when there was help for them if they would have only confronted the fact of their anxiety disorder and that they needed help for it.

Reach out because there are plenty of resources that offer you help. Remember you have a spiritual element, mental element and a physical element. You can go to your pastor or rabbi or whatever spiritual guide you follow. Many people look to the Bible. You can go to a doctor but more than likely he’ll get you hooked on medications. You can go to a analyst who might be able to help you. There are also very successful programs out there including dietary programs to be on.

Don’t let the stress of phobias, and fears and anxiety send you to the brink of an all out panic attack.
Keep this in mind at all times-when the going gets tough the tough get going-when it seems like life is at its darkest, light will shine through. Keep your head up and look always to the heavens for help.

Is Anxiety Disorder Destroying Your Life Pt1

You may know a few people who seem to breeze though life. They are happy, they never seem to have a bad day. It could seem in your eyes that they are special, and you may even think that they deserve all of the joy that they have found.

The fact is that no one sails through life without rough seas. No matter how good things are, eventually you  will run into some times of darkness. It is the way in which you accept the dark times and what you do in those particular situations that will determine your feeling of happiness. When dealing with anxiety disorder, you have to know how to come out on the other side with a new outlook while remaining positive. Life can come at us fast can’t it?

No matter what the troubled situation might be, dealing with anxiety disorder brought about by a sudden turn in life’s path can be the hardest part. We are creatures of comfort and we don’t like big or fast changes..we like to feel in control so when things come out of nowhere and hit us broadside it can really stress us and even cause us to panic. These fears are common if they don’t reach extremes.

There are many who simply skip dealing with these anxiety attacks because they don’t even know what they are.. They think if they ignore the feelings that they will go away. This anxiety disorder can come back to haunt you if it is not dealt with. Unresolved hard feelings will always get worse not better. Don’t try and fool yourself like many people do by denying the facts or putting your head in the sand like the ostrich.
